Spring sports activities in Lenawee County are in full swing

The spring season is well underway for Lenawee County high school sports. On Monday, the girls soccer teams took to the field. Clinton emerged victorious over Tecumseh with an impressive 8-2 score. Aubrey Lauer scored six goals for Clinton, while Anna Schaffner added two more goals and two assists. Kaylee Raiser contributed two assists as well. Goalkeeper Jackie Whiting made six saves for Clinton in the match. Tecumseh’s Shaylinn Drouillard scored both of her team’s goals in the game.

In another game, Monroe bested Blissfield 7-2. Meanwhile, in lacrosse action, the Tecumseh girls team started their season with a tough 16-4 loss to Sylvania Northview on Monday. The visiting team from Ohio proved to be a formidable opponent. Sapphira Williams and Emily Burgess each scored a goal and added an assist for Tecumseh, while Jayden Poley and Jazlyn Reau also netted a goal each in the game.
