CBS Sports Predicts Seattle Seahawks Will Return to Playoffs in 2024 Following One-Year Hiatus

The Seattle Seahawks narrowly missed the postseason last year, landing the No. 8 seed in the NFC. With a 9-8 record for the second year in a row, there is room for improvement. Changes have already been made with a new head coach, Mike Macdonald, taking over for longtime coach Pete Carroll, along with other staff adjustments.

Seattle is one of six teams that missed the playoffs in 2023 but are expected to make it in 2024, according to CBS Sports. The competition in the NFC West division is fierce, with strong contenders like the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams posing a threat. However, Seattle has talented players like DK Metcalf and Kenneth Walker III that could help them succeed.

CBS Sports also predicts that the New York Jets, Tennessee Titans, Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Atlanta Falcons will make the postseason next year. The Jets are banking on quarterback Aaron Rodgers returning after an injury sidelined him early in the 2023 season. It will be interesting to see if these projections hold true as the season unfolds.
